Trina Candaza is putting an end to Carlo Aquino's claims that he hasn't seen their daughter Enola Mithi for three months already.

The model and vlogger aired her side on her co-parenting situation with ex-boyfriend Carlo in an interview with Ogie Diaz uploaded on the entertainment reporter's YouTube Channel last Jan. 14.

During their discussion, Ogie asked Trina what she thinks are the issues thrown at her that she must comment on.

Trina then pointed out the actor’s statement during his press conference, wherein he claimed that he hasn't seen Mithi since November and that he was the only one providing for Trina and their child.

Trina responded to his statement, "That's not true, Mama Ogs. Kasi I also pay half of our expenses. So, para sa akin dalawa kaming nagpo-provide.”

She added, “Pwede naman niya sabihin na nagsusustento siya kay Mithi kasi totoo 'yon; pero para sabihin niya sa ‘kin na binubuhay niya ako, dalawa kami, nakaka-offend sa part ko. Nagtatrabaho rin ako, naghahanap ako ng ways of income para ma-provide yung kulang do'n sa ibinibigay niyang sustento."

Teary eyed, Trina also shared her realizations from her being a single mother: "In general ‘to ha, napansin ko lang, kapag ang lalake nagbibigay ng sustento for a month, mabuting tatay na sila, pero kapag sa mga single moms, nagtatrabaho kami, inaalagan namin yung anak namin...Kapag may sakit yung bata, kami. Pero once na may mali kaming magawa, masamang ina na kami."

"Kay Carlo kasi, yung sustento niya, he can earn it in a day," she continued. "Pero ako yung pino-provide ko na half, ilang trabaho yung katapat para ma-provide ko yung one month,” she said, adding, "Parang sabi ko, ang convenient pala maging lalaki."

Asked if Carlo is able to fulfill his duties as a father, Trina replied, “Nagagampanan naman niya, pero he will only give the bare minimum, he will not extend efforts.”

She also shared that in the earlier part of their co-parenting setup, she allows their daughter Mithi to spend three to four days with Carlo.

It was like that until Trina saw the need to set rules, including requiring the actor to focus solely on their daughter whenever she’s with him.

“Kasi I think Mithi doesn’t deserve na may kahati sa time, since minsan na lang naman niya makasama daddy niya,” Trina said.

The celebrity mom also shared that she is open to talking with the actor privately if he has issues with their co-parenting setup. “Hindi ko ipinagdadamot [si Mithi], it’s just that hindi siya pumupunta,” she said.

Trina shared that they broke up in December 2021, but it was only confirmed by Carlo publicly in April 2022.

When asked about the cause of their break up, Trina did not want to share directly for the sake of their daughter.

“It’s a very easy question, Mama Ogs, pero knowing na puwedeng mapanood ‘to ni Mithi, I’d rather not answer the question na lang directly,” she said. “But I think everybody knows it.”

Carlo wasn’t able to spend holidays with their daughter, but Trina said that he knows where they are. “...and he knows na very welcome siya do’n sa bahay na kung saan kami nag-Christmas."

“Pwede siyang do’n para makasama niya si Mithi, pero he chose na mag-stay doon sa bahay nila and spend his Christmas with his new girlfriend or girl and with his family,” she added.

On Dec. 29, 2022, Carlo made headlines for allegedly having a relationship with fellow ABS-CBN actress Charlie Dizon.

The rumors began circulating when the actress posted photos on Instagram on the same day, wherein she was seen celebrating the holidays with the actor and some female friends

A week later, on Jan. 6, Carlo told ABS-CBN entertainment journalist MJ Felipe that he celebrated New Year with Charlie and his family in La Union. The actor also confirmed that they have been seeing each other and are currently in the "getting to know you" stage.
