Carlo Aquino confirms dating, getting to know Charlie Dizon

It's confirmed: sparks are flying between rumored couple Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon.

The actor confirmed this in an interview with ABS-CBN entertainment journalist MJ Felipe during Star Magic and Mavx Productions' event held on Friday, Jan. 6.

In the clip shared by Felipe on Twitter, the news reporter can be heard asking Carlo how he celebrated New Year. The I Love Lizzy star replied, saying that he went to La Union with his family and Charlie.

When asked if he is dating the actress, Carlo gave a firm "yes" and later said that they are in the "getting to know" stage.

The actor added that they got acquainted with each other as co-stars in the 2020 Kapamilya teleserye A Soldier's Heart and during Star Magic's US tour in August of last year.

"Actually 'di ba nagkasama kami sa A Soldier's Heart? Nagkakilala kami doon," he continued. "Tapos US tour, 'tapos nakilala ko siya, 'tapos pag-uwi, ayun."

Carlo, 37, and Charlie, 26, began to spark dating rumors on Dec. 29, when the actress posted a photo of her celebrating the holidays with the actor and some female friends.

Netizens noticed how the two appear to be cozy with each other, with their hands intertwined on top of the actress' leg.

Three years after starring on A Soldier's Heart, Carlo and Charlie are set to work together once again in the upcoming film Love on a Budget produced by ABS-CBN Films and Black Sheep Productions.

Before confirming his relationship status with the actress, Carlo was in a romance with model and internet personality Trina Candaza with whom he shares a daughter named Enola Mithi. Charlie, on the other hand, has not been in a public relationship since her acting debut in 2017.
