K-pop fans know that idols are fond of taking mirror selfies. Whether they’re promoting at a music show or showing off stylish ‘fits, it’s impossible to miss out their aesthetically-pleasing snaps on the ‘gram.

Like most of us, we often display our vanity by posting our best mirror selfies on social media. It doesn’t matter if you’re using an Android or iPhone since showing off your best angles and feeling confident is what matters most.

If you’re struggling to take a good mirror selfie, why not take notes from some of our favorite female K-pop icons who mastered the social media game.

Use the mirror to flex your kicks

Why not use the mirror to show off your shoe of the day à la Rosé? Since it’s more comfortable to pose while seated, try multiple poses while taking a ton of photos then pick the prettiest photo.

Flaunt your figure by posing from the side

It’s impossible to be a skinny legend like IVE's Wonyoung but you can channel your inner “4th-Gen IT girl” by posing from the side. Serve After Like vibes by angling your chin lower and flashing a pouty wink.

Use the flash to create a special effect

Find mirror selfies boring? Better turn on your camera’s flash and put on a poker face for an edgier aesthetic. Like TWICE's Chaeyoung’s snap, the flash gives a grunge-inspired feel and makes you look cooler.

Go twinning with yourself

Of course, having close-up shots of yourself is the easiest way to make a mirror selfie work. You can look pretty or wacky for the camera—it’s up to you, just look at Joy from Red Velvet!

Find a unique angle

Thanks to the Y2K renaissance, tilted-high selfies are the rage on social media. But no one does it better than LE SSERAFIM’s leader and undisputed selfie queen Chaewon. Just make sure to raise up your phone and angle it sideways to show more of your figure.

Get moving

Treat your mirror selfie like a photoshoot by moving your body to get a variety of poses inspired by Yeji of ITZY. You can show off a ton of facial expressions or flex your figure.

Use your phone to hide your face

Mirror selfies can also work even if you’re camera shy. Just take a cue from aespa's Giselle and choose a plain background and hide your face with your phone. Make sure that your device has a cute case for an added dose of personality.

Go twinning with yourself

Not all of us are as gorgeous as Isa of STAYC, but it doesn’t hurt to practice self-love by twinning with yourself on the ‘gram. And don’t worry, having a double is not as challenging as it seems. Just strike your best pose while tilting your front camera slightly to the side of the mirror. You can also make it work by downloading the Twins Camera app.
