Everyone enjoys taking selfies from time to time.

You can take snapshots of yourself anywhere, as long as you have your phone with you. But if you want to know about the best angles, you can take inspiration from these celebrities who are taking their selfies to the next level.

In honor of National Selfie Day this June 21, here are five celebrities who can inspire you to pose and get the best angles for your picture-perfect social media snaps.

Tip #1: Choose a picturesque scenery as your background

What could go wrong when taking selfies with the sunset as your background? Close to none. Or probably when you miss the perfect second of having the glimmering sun behind you. But fret not, because, with perfect timing and the right angle, you can get a picturesque sunset selfie just like Julia Baretto.

Tip #2: Take selfies inside the car

With bumper-to-bumper rides in the city, being stuck in a traffic jam can be annoying to its core. To ease the ennui of frustration and boredom, strike a pose inside your car while slightly tilting your head, almost leaning to the window, the same way Chie Filomeno did.

Tip #3: Strike poses in front of a mirror

Mirror selfies are undefeated. You can take a wide array of shots while looking in front of a mirror—full-body, close-up, or a half-body shot just like what Donny Pangilinan was doing on his Instagram post. All you need is to find the right angle—whether you want to take a shot showing your entire face or focus on your tantalizing eyes as you stare into the mirror.

Tip #4: Look up towards the camera

If you want to show your best angle, you can try taking selfies by looking up toward the camera just like Loisa Andalio did. Let the breeze of cold air fan your loose hair and capture the moment when it happens. This angle is also great if you want to take a shot of your entire outfit while getting some space for a great background.

Tip #5: Make sure to wear a good outfit

Don’t you get the tingles when you’re wearing a good outfit and you badly want to have it taken because you are proud to show off your style? Taking a series of photos while wearing a great fit is definitely one of your choices, as Maymay Entrata had chosen. So, get your phone out, set it on timer mode from afar, and strike a fierce pose to show off your entire outfit.
