Park Eun Bin, Song Hye Kyo, Ryu Jeon Yeol and more to present at 60th Baeksang Arts Awards
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards recently announced a lineup of presenters that includes many popular stars from South Korea's entertainment industry.
According to a report by Korean entertainment media outlet Soompi, this year's Baeksang will feature the country's biggest names as award presenters.
These include Grand Prize (Daesang) winner Park Eun Bin and director Park Chan Wook, Lee Sung Min and Song Hye Kyo, Ryu Jun Yeol and Tang Wei, Jo Woo Jin and Lim Ji Yeon, Byun Yo Han and Park Se Wan, Kim Jong Kook and Lee Eun Ji.
Moreover, Kim Si Eun, who won the Best New Actress award in last year's awarding ceremony, will join Moon Sang Min and Roh Yoon Seo.
K-pop singer and GOT7 member Park Jinyoung, who won the Best New Actor award last year, will not attend this year's Baeksang due to military enlistment. In his place, his BH Entertainment labelmate Jang Dong Yoon will visit the awards ceremony.
More than the past winners, upcoming Korean film and drama actors—Lee Junho (Cashero), Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee (The Atypical Family), Shin Ha Kyun (The Auditors), and Kim Moo Yeol and Park Ji Hwan (The Roundup: Punishment)—will also present some awards.
South Korean comedians Kim Min Su, Jung Jae Hyun, and Lee Yong Joo of Psick University's Psick Show are also set to grace the event.
Hallyu fans will be taking a stroll down the awards show's memory lane as Park Bo Gum, Suzy, and Shin Dong Yup are reuniting to host the awards night.
The three MCs have 25 years of hosting experience at the Baeksang Arts Awards between them, making the 60th edition more "meaningful."
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards will take on May 7 at 5 p.m. KST (4 p.m. PH Time) at Coex Hall D. The ceremony will air live on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC 4.
There has yet to be an announcement on how to stream this year's ceremony outside Korea. However, the previous ceremony can be streamed through Baeksang's official TikTok account and JTBC's social media accounts.
The Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 will give recognition to the Korean actors who have made a mark on the industry in the past year, as well as the films and television shows that have reached new heights in storytelling.
The awards show is one of Korea's three most prestigious award-giving bodies. It recognizes excellent broadcast, cable, and streaming TV content, domestic films, and theatrical productions.
