Claudine Barretto lost 84 pounds in just two months —here's how she did it
Claudine Barretto is looking fit and fabulous after she lost more than 80 pounds in a span of a few months.
In an interview with Karen Davila on her YouTube channel, the Filipino journalist pointed out how Claudine looked noticeably slimmer compared to how she was in the past. The actress then shared that she managed to shed 84 pounds in just two months.
"How did you that?" Karen asked, surprised by this fact.
"Intermittent fasting talaga. I do 24 hours, then do 20 hours, and then tuloy-tuloy na. It became a habit already," Claudine answered, adding that she eats her meals at four in the afternoon.
However, both Karen and Claudine warned viewers that they should first consult a doctor to see if it is safe for them to do intermittent fasting. In case you don't know about this method, it is when you don't eat for a period of time each day or week in order to reduce your calorie intake and cause weight loss.
"Magsa-start ka ng 13 hours muna, then 14, don't go beyond that," Claudine said, revealing that she is now down to just 100 pounds, the same weight she had when she was still single.
The journey to achieving this was not a walk in the park, however, as the actress stressed that she experienced difficulties trying to control her cravings.
Asked how she managed to resist it, she said, "I clean and clean and clean para makalimutan ko. And I tried to sleep early talaga and I try to wake up late. Tinatagalan ko 'yung tulog ko."
Claudine started looking out for her body when she returned to television last year to headline the "Bisita" episode of Wish Ko Lang as part of the show’s month-long 20th anniversary specials. She said lost about 60 pounds at that time, thanks to intermittent fasting.
