James Reid says he's ready to settle down soon
As he turned 31 this month, James Reid thinks he's ready to settle down soon.
The singer-actor told ABS-CBN News that he "definitely" feels that his priorities in life are changing at the moment.
"It’s really trying to see my music through, trying to see my career through, really just doing things the right way," he said before adding, "and maybe settling down soon."
After his candid answer, Reid joked that he "should not have said that," only to backtrack with "never mind."
The founder of record label and management agency Careless was also asked if he's emotionally and mentally ready to take his relationship with model-actress Issa Pressman to the next level.
“I think so," he said, adding that this is because he learned a lot from his 20s.
Reid and Pressman sparked dating rumors in March 2023, when they shared photos of each other during Harry Styles' Love on Tour concert in Manila. The photos included a mirror selfie as they held each other's hands.
But their "soft launch" got mixed reactions, as Pressman had been accused of being a third party during Reid's relationship with actress Nadine Lustre. Reid and Lustre, or JaDine to fans, announced their breakup in January 2020, though they said they split up in November 2019.
Days later, Reid took to Twitter and Instagram Story to address criticisms against Pressman, saying that past rumors about them "are just that, rumors."
The couple has since been spotted at social gatherings and even in family affairs.
