Eraserheads' Marcus Adoro pens an open letter to daughter, fans amid alleged abuse issue

Eraserheads member Marcus Adoro has broken his silence after allegations of his abuse have resurfaced.

The lead guitarist of the Pinoy band shared his message for his daughter Syd Hartha, who accused him of physical and verbal abuse, on Instagram as he have "lost contact" with her for over a decade.

"I've lost contact with my daughter for 10 years now. Recently, I've tried to reach out to her through her manager, but I'm not sure if my messages are getting through. So, I'm making this post," he wrote.

"Syd, san ka man, I hope you're doing well. As you already know, I'm far from perfect kaya normal if you want nothing to do with me. Sana lang magkaroon ng second chance for redemption," Adoro continued.

He also apologized for the trouble he has caused his family, his bandmates, the public, and the sponsors.

"Pasensya na," he said.

He continued his message thanking those who are supporting his band's art.

"Please continue to support the E-Heads reunion. Alay po sa ating lahat ito," he finished.

Following his post, his former partner and alleged victim Barbara "Bie" Ruaro, also shared quotes on Instagram Stories on Sept. 26.

Quoting Sunday Adelaja, The Mountain of Ignorance, she wrote: "If people in the position of power are not made to be accountable, then, ungodliness, injustice, and oppression will continue to be the order of the day in the society."

Another quote read: "It is not only what we do, but also what what we do not do, for which we are accountable."

Meanwhile, the Eraserheads is set to reunite this December 22 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Paranaque City. Since the announcement, the issue involving Adoro allegedly abusing several women, including his daughter and Ruaro, have resurfaced.
