Pia Wurtzbach is now a cat person, thanks to this kitten: 'I'm officially converted'
Pia Wurtzbach is many things: a former Miss Universe titleholder, a successful book author, a beloved television personality, an endorser, and more. But now, she is adding cat mom to her list of titles all because of one adorable kitten.
On her Instagram account, the beauty queen shared a series of pictures featuring a kitten named Lucas and recounted how he influenced her to change her unfavorable view on cats.
"Never in my life did I imagine that I would like cats. I used to be scared of them because I didn’t have much experience with cats during my childhood," Pia recalled.
"Even in my adult life, whenever I’d visit friends who had cats, I would always be so nervous touching, petting, carrying them... because I didn’t know how!" she added.
It wasn't until her cousin, Anelle Charity, found Lucas and decided to adopt him.
"Charity works very closely with me. We’re also neighbors and so Lucas would always come over to visit. Lucas is playful, malambing, and so sweet with my pamangkins Lara and Logan," Pia recounted.
After spending much time with the lovable feline, the model and actress began to learn some things about cats that made her fall in love with them even more.
"Cats are so easy pala. You only have to teach them once where the cat litter is and that’s it. Automatic na. They know where to go. They’re independent, don’t need constant attention, and have simple joys in life. Expensive toys? No way. Lucas loves an empty cardboard box and will have fun for hours," Pia wrote.
"I am officially converted. Lucas is now part of our family," she added. "I adore this cat so much. We love you, Lucas!"
Pia also showed her love for her furry family member when she took him to be a part of her photoshoot with Cosmopolitan magazine.
In addition to her newfound love for cats, Pia is also known for her big heart for dogs, as she has a pet chihuahua named Prada.
