It’s water under the bridge indeed for Kapuso stars Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista.
The two have been seen greeting and hugging each other at an event following their reconciliation in October after a feud that lasted for years.
During the 84th birthday celebration of Atty. Felipe Gozon, GMA Network’s outgoing chief executive officer, television presenter Tim Yap shared an Instagram Story saying, “Hello. Hi girls.” Yap then pans the camera to Rivera and Evangelista as they are seen hugging each other. The ladies pause and beam at the camera as they wave hello.
“‘Yun lang. Ganda,” Yap said. He also captioned it “Merry Christmas” with a red heart emoji.
Rivera reposted his Instagram Story as a Facebook Reel.
Fans expressed their joy over seeing the two stars getting along again.
“‘Yan ang gusto na magkabati na kayo, God bless,” a social media user said.
“So happy to see you both sobrang gaganda niyo po,” wrote another
Rivera and Evangelista’s reported feud started in 2011. When they appeared in the comedy film Temptation Island, they expressed interest in getting paired with the partner of the other. At the time, Evangelista was in a relationship with Daniel Matsunaga, while Rivera was dating her now-husband Dingdong Dantes.
Soon after, Evangelista’s mother Cecile Ongpauco allegedly confronted Rivera at the airport.
GMA released a statement saying Rivera and Evangelista’s issue was a “personal one,” asking them to “put this unpleasant issue to rest.” Since then, they weren’t seen together.
In October this year, the local stars made the rounds online after eagle-eyed fans noticed that they started following each other on Instagram.
