Buboy Villar's ex-partner accuses him of physical abuse, cheating, not providing enough child support
Trigger warning: This arricle contains mentions of physical abuse.
The ex-partner of Buboy Villar accused him of physical abuse, cheating, as well as not providing enough financial support to their two children—on the heels of the actor-comedian talking about his new non-showbiz girlfriend and their three-month-old baby in a podcast.
In a now-deleted lengthy Facebook post on March 26, Angillyn Gorens said she's finally speaking up as criticisms against her haven't stopped.
She noted that Villar's new girlfriend Isay Sampiano is being compared to her and, despite her not doing anything, still becomes the subject of negative comments.
She said she asked Villar to speak up and protect her image and their children—Vlanz Karollyn, 7, and George Michael, 5—but to no avail.
She pointed out how Villar says in interviews that he respects her and loves their children, but belied his pronouncements.
On the alleged lack of child support
Gorens also alleged that Villar is not providing child support for almost two years, though noted that it's not a problem.
"Wala naman kami kahit [kailan] na nireklamo kahit P40,000 per taping/per hosting/per day si Buboy," she said. "Choice niya 'yun."
Nevertheless, she said Villar should be spending time with their children at the very least, as she had to stay in the United States to work.
She noted that their children are living with her parents in the Philippines, as mutually agreed upon.
On why she left Villar
She also dismissed claims that she left Villar because he was supposedly poor.
Gorens noted that her mother once paid for her and Villar's rent worth one year.
"Tinulungan namin si Buboy makabangon dahil mahal ko si Buboy noon," she said.
Instead, Gorens said she left Villar due to his physical abuse and serial cheating.
"Walang katapusang panloloko. Pinatawad ko at umasang baka sakaling magbago," she said.
Gorens alleged Villar of hurting her during arguments when they were still together. She didn't go into detail, but mentioned in passing that he allegedly choked her.
"Sinasaktan niya ako, konting away lang, mananakit na dahil alam niyang hindi ako nagsusumbong sa mga magulang ko," she said.
She also accused him of drinking every night, which, she noted, has made his temper worse.
"Pag-uwi, maoy," she said, "tapos ending puro na naman pananakit at pagmumura sa akin sa harap ng one-year-old."
Gorens also accused Villar of intentionally crashing their car while arguing on their child's birthday.
On Villar's new partner
Gorens also called out Sampiano for allegedly making out with Villar in front of their children.
She said their daughter wanted to stay in bed beside him but cannot do so supposedly because Sampiano was there.
"Imbes na ganoon, sa floor nila pinatulog mga bata katabi ng yaya," she said. "Ilang beses naulit, kahit naman siguro sinong nanay magagalit."
Gorens noted she raised the issue with Villar and Sampiano, but claimed that nothing happened.
Pwede naman ipabukas yung harutan pag wala na yung mga bata sa kanila," she said.
Gorens said she also asked Villar not to vlog their children as viewers make negative comments about her.
Children 'not deserving' of Villar's lapses
In concluding her post, Gorens reiterated that she remained a faithful partner to Villar.
She lamented how their daughter kept looking for her and is apparently aware of his new relationship and child.
"Masakit 'yun para sa amin na sinasabi ng anak naming babae na 'Where's my papa?,' 'Is he not gonna visit me anymore because he has a new baby?' May utak na anak namin," she said.
Gorens said that no matter how much she wanted to bring their kids with her to the US, she could not do so as she had to work there.
She noted that she returns to the Philippines now and then.
"Kahit sinong nanay, hindi gugustuhin mag-ibang bansa para itaguyod ang anak," she said.
Gorens and Villar met in 2015 and entered a relationship the following year, when they also started living together and got engaged.
In October 2020, Gorens' sister Veybillyn confirmed their breakup through PEP.ph.
In a separate interview with GMA News at the time, Villar said it had already been two years since his split with Gorens.
PhilSTAR L!fe reached out to Villar for comment, but has yet to receive a reply.
