Michelle Dee's brother Abraham Lawyer says he's open to joining showbiz: 'I'll try it'

The 20-year-old charmer expressed his willingness to follow in the footsteps of his sister and try his hand at showbiz in an interview with entertainment reporter MJ Felipe.
“You know, showbiz, that’s not my thing, I’m gonna be honest,” he admitted. “I’ll try it, you know it doesn’t hurt to try, explore.”
“Don't expect that closing anytime soon,” he added.
While Abraham said he sees being famous as a “privilege [and] a blessing,” he revealed that he is more interested in making a career in modeling than joining the entertainment scene.
“But modeling and going on the runway and doing photoshoots—that seems to be something more a lot more to my liking,” he said.
His mom, Melanie Marquez, won Miss International 1979. His sibling Michelle, meanwhile, had a Top 10 finish at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, where she also won four special awards. Is there a chance for Abraham to enter pageantry, too?
“It's just different worlds,” he answered. “You know, I mean if I were to get in a male pageantry, I don’t see how I'd be able to flawlessly do it as they would.”
Abraham first hinted at his interest in joining showbiz during his brief appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. Michelle shared her thoughts on the idea, saying, "If the opportunity presents itself. We're a family of [celebrities], if there's an opportunity, let's grab it."
Abraham is currently based in the US. He is planning to come back to the Philippines to pursue a career.
