Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo marries NFL player Christian McCaffrey
Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo walked down the aisle to marry San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, her partner for over four years.
The wedding took place on June 29 at a chapel in Watch Hill, a coastal neighborhood in Rhode Island.
McCaffrey looked timeless in his classic black suit, while Culpo looked ethereal in her traditional Dolce & Gabanna long-sleeved ballgown with a full, flowing skirt.
In an interview with Vogue, the model shares, “It’s a covenant. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life—and it’s the union and bond of two people forever.”
To capture her sentiments about marriage, she went with a gown that highlighted her views on marriage. “I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complimenting me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity,” Culpo told Vogue.
Cupo elaborated, “When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant.”
Beginning their relationship in 2019, the pair got engaged in April 2023 during a romantic getaway in Utah. They publicly broke the news through a joint Instagram post with photos of the NFL star bent on one knee, captioned “♾️4.2.23♾️.”
