Gypsy Rose Blanchard's fiance Ken Urker dies at 33
Ken Urker, Gypsy Rose Blanchard's fiance, has died. He was 33 years old.
TMZ reported on Thursday, Oct. 1, that Ken was discovered unresponsive by his relative on his birthday at his residence in Raceland, Louisiana.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Gypsy Rose said that Ken overdosed.
“I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she told the media outlet, revealing that he "was not in a good state of mind lately."
“I’m in disbelief. I can’t think,” she said. “I’ve screamed until my throat burns.”
According to Page Six, the two became prison pen pals in 2017 while Gypsy Rose was in jail for her involvement in the killing of her mother Claudine. She served seven years of her original 10-year sentence for plotting the murder of her mom, who subjected her to multiple and “painful” medical procedures for made-up illnesses and treated her like a “prisoner.”
Gypsy Rose was released from prison in December 2023 after being granted parole in September of the same year.
Gypsy Rose and Ken got engaged in October 2018, but broke up a year later.
They later rekindled their romance and welcomed a daughter named Aurora Raina Urker on Dec. 28, 2024, which also marked the first anniversary of her prison release.
