Maggie Wilson shares fresh attack by alleged troll farms ahead of book release on her 'own truth'
Maggie Wilson shared on Instagram how alleged troll farms have been attacking her again since she announced the launch of her book, The Confidence Blueprint, about her "own truth."
On Monday, Dec. 8, the model took to social media to bemoan the alleged trolls as she shared screenshots of comments on her upcoming release that appear to be following a script.
"Ever since I announced the launch of my book, the fake accounts have suddenly reappeared and multiplied overnight," she wrote.
"Someone out there is so terrified of a story they haven’t even read that they actually hired people to flood my comments with nonsense. That level of fear must be exhausting. Truly," she added.
Wilson addressed the instigator: "To whoever is bankrolling this little operation: I genuinely hope you find peace. Because paying strangers to attack someone out of panic or insecurity isn’t power, it’s a plea for help. And honestly, I feel sorry for you," she wrote.
She said her "own truth" is "coming and no amount of bots can rewrite my truth."
According to the model, her upcoming book would reveal the lessons she learned from competing in beauty pageants, working in television, and her multiple contentious legal battles with Consunji.
The alleged attacks were not a new occurrence. In 2023, Wilson called out influencers whom she accused of accepting payment to run a smear campaign on TikTok against her interior design company Acasa Manila.
The damaging content warned users of interacting with Wilson and her company. Influencers used the same script and hashtags, all of which attacked Wilson.
On Instagram, she shared screenshots of a group chat where the chat administrator shared a script that content creators were supposed to use for their videos, including tips on unique ways to deliver the script. The videos were supposedly meant to spread a rumor that Wilson and her boyfriend Thai-British businessman Tim Connor allegedly scammed their Acasa Manila customers.
Wilson shared the content creators were allegedly paid P8,000 for their posted videos.
Back then, Wilson accused her estranged husband businessman Victor Consunji's current partner Rachel Carrasco of funding the trolls to attack her. Carrasco has yet to comment on the accusation.
Wilson and Consunji were married for 11 years before they jointly announced their separation in Sept. 2021. Since then, the couple has been embroiled in several legal disputes, chief of which involves custody of their son Connor, 13.
Consunji filed a petition for a Temporary and a Permanent Protection Order against Wilson to keep her from communicating with Connor until he turns 18, saying she was a "threat" to his well-being. However, in early 2025, Wilson shared a court dismissed the petition, upholding her right to keep communication lines with her son open.
