Korina Sanchez reflects on getting older in birthday greeting for Vicki Belo
Broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez shared her realizations about getting older as she penned a heartwarming birthday message for Vicki Belo.
In an Instagram post, Korina shared a photo with Vicki as she greeted the latter a happy 68th birthday. She also took the time to talk about the fears that come with reaching one's mid-years in the caption.
"Another year older at mid-age is scary. I get terrified. When I was turning 20, I remember being depressed—thinking I was too old, and that there wasn't enough time. Imagine," Korina, 59, wrote.
She continued, "This morning my prayer was to ask God for enough time. Enough time to see all things in order. To see my kids grown and settled. To be debt-free. Enough time to help more people and more animals from need and suffering."
She also wished for her staff to lead good lives and for herself to stay healthy and energetic as she enjoys all the good things in life.
Korina went on to share that she wants the same thing to happen to Vicki now that she has turned another year older.
"This is my birthday wish too for my friend Dra. Vicki Belo. Wrapping as much time as she needs, with a ribbon, through prayer and manifestation. Happiest birthday Vicki. And please. You are young with the best things yet to come," she ended her post.
Aside from Korina, many of Vicki's nearest and dearest also gave a shoutout to the celebrity dermatologist on her special day. Her husband, Hayden Kho, posted a picture of him and Vicki together and described her as "the most amazing woman" he knows.
"It’s been 18 incredible years together, and I’m still thanking God for you every day. Like I always tell you, I truly believe your best years are just around the corner. The way you care for everyone and your legendary generosity is just awesome," Hayden wrote.
Their daughter Scarlet also prepared a cake for her mom to show how much she appreciates her. "Mom is the sweetest and most loving person I know, so I wanted her to feel extra loved on her birthday," she captioned her post.
Vicki is the chief executive officer and medical director of Belo Medical Group, which has 15 clinics in the country. Her clientele mostly comprises celebrities. She also gives beauty advice to the public in her vlogs.
