Did you know that the iconic sun baby in Teletubbies is now a mom?

Jess Smith, the actress behind the sun in the children’s television show, posted a mirror shot with her first baby with partner Ricky Latham on Instagram on Saturday, March 9.

“Believe it or not, she has started smiling,” she wrote in the caption with a sun emoji.

According to an E! News report on Thursday, March 8, she first gave a glimpse of her daughter in January, sharing a photo of her hand with the caption,  "One whole week of you.”

In the same month, she shared a photo of her partner carrying their daughter in the hospital hallway. “12 days in our lives, 7 days at home, 2 very lucky parents,” she captioned her post, where she also revealed their daughter’s name, Poppy Rae Latham.

Jess announced her pregnancy in October 2023, sharing a sonogram with the caption, “When two becomes three.”

Delighted social media users sent their messages of love and support.

“Yay. The sun babies baby! Congratulations,” a social media user wrote.
