Filipino girl group 4th Impact is making waves again in the international scene as their original song, Round and Round, is under consideration to be a nominee for Best Pop Duo/Group at the 67th Grammy Awards.

On Instagram, the four-piece girl group, composed of biological sisters Celina, Almira, Mylene, Elvira, and Irene Cercado, announced the news, saying they can't believe their song made it to the first round of entries for a nod.

This means their song is among the tracks up for nominations in the category. The official nominees will be selected by the Recording Academy's voting membership, which comprises producers, artists, songwriters, engineers, and other music creators.

"We need your help everyone! Please pray for us especially sa mga kababayan po namin all over the world sana po ay matulungan niyo po kami maabot mga pangarap namin. Maraming Salamat po," 4th Impact said.

In case you didn't know, the song Round and Round is one of the tracks on the group's self-titled EP, which was released in January of this year. For this song, they collaborated with Hungarian music producer Miklos Malek, Grammy-nominated songwriter Rachel West, and Greek musician NicoTheOwl.

The official list of nominees for the 67th Grammy Awards will be announced on November 8, followed by a Final Round of Voting from December 12, 2024, to January 3, 2025.

Meanwhile, the awards night will be held in Los Angeles, California in February next year.

4th Impact, who hails from Roxas, Isabela, rose to fame in 2015 when they joined on the twelfth season of The X Factor UK. They finished the talent competition among its Top 5 finalists.

Their hits include All At Once, Here We Go, Leave the Door, and Pasulyap-sulyap, among others.

The group also has several performances abroad in line with Filipino-American History Month, including a special event at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on October 20.
