Daveigh Chase, who starred in the Lilo & Stitch films and The Ring, has passed away. She was 35.

In a GoFundMe page created while Chase was receiving medical care, her boyfriend Roy Hernandez shared that the former child star's health had recently become critical.

"Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections. Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left. All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days," Hernandez wrote.

He also shared how Chase struggled with bullying after her fallout with her family.

"When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope," he added.

TMZ also reported that Daveigh was hospitalized in Los Angeles earlier this month due to malnutrition.

Chase began her career at four years old through voiceover roles and stage productions, per BBC.

She rose to fame through her role in Donnie Darko and later in the American dub of Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away. She also brought Lilo to life in Lilo & Stitch films, where she won a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role and an Annie Award for outstanding voice acting in an animated feature in 2003.

She also played Samara Morgan in the hit horror film The Ring, for which she won an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chase faced several legal troubles later in life, including charges related to drug possession and unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle.
