Kim Kardashian 'not accepting' her brain has 'low activity' after scan

Kim Kardashian gave a glimpse into her health as she got a brain scan in the latest episode of her family's reality show, The Kardashians.

In the Nov. 27 episode, Kim and ex-brother-in-law Scott Disick underwent scans after she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.

The two went over the results with psychiatrist Daniel Amen, who showed Kim different views of the scans.

"What are those holes?" Kim asked, to which Dr. Amen responded with, "Yeah I don't like that."

"So, what the holes mean is low activity. [The] front part of your brain is less active than it should be. With your frontal lobes as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress, and that's not good for you, especially as you're studying and getting ready to take the boards."

Kardashian had yet to take the California bar exam at the time of filming. She later shared that she failed and wasn't a lawyer yet.

"That just can't be... Not accepting," she said in response.

Dr. Amen told her that her low brain activity could be caused by chronic stress from studying for the boards, among other things in her life.

In a clip aired during The Kardashians' season 7 premiere in October, Kim revealed that a "little aneurysm" was found in her brain during an MRI scan.

She also told Good Morning America that she went through extensive testing to further assess her condition.

"I did go and get a Prenuvo scan, and I had to end up going and getting tons of other brain scans," she said on the morning show. (A Prenuvo scan, according to its website, "is a whole body, radiation-free MRI scan for patients to identify early detection of hundreds of cancers and conditions.")

A brain aneurysm is "a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain," per health information website Mayo Clinic.

Kim shared on Instagram in mid-November that she would not be giving up after she failed the bar exam.

"It was disappointing, but it wasn't the end," she wrote in the caption of an Instagram reel.

"This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I'm going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there."
