LOOK: Here are the best-dressed stars at the Star Magical Prom 2023
Shimmering gowns and high-class suits abound at ABS-CBN's first-ever Star Magical Prom.
The event, held March 30 at the ballroom of Bellevue Hotel Manila, gathered some of today's biggest teen stars and upcoming young artists in one dream-like event.
Star Magical Prom 2023 played with the theme of Netflix hit Regency romance drama Bridgerton, which was reflected in the venue designed by event stylist Dave Sandoval and more so, the stars' glamorous outfits that were captured by Nice Print Photography.
Here are the artists who graced the ball à la princesses and princes with much magic and flair.
Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin
One of the much-anticipated love teams at the event, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin made the wait all worth it with their looks that radiated glamour and style.
Francine glistened in her yellow laced A-line gown with rhinestones on the waist and some sprinkled all over the skirt. The bodice, which featured a sweetheart neckline, was likewise embellished with beads. Adding more flair to her show-stopping ensemble are the gown's sleeves made of oversized fur.
Meanwhile, Seth similarly served looks with his all-white suit, which he matched with an undershirt that featured a Mao collar and pleated center adorned with pearl buttons and scallop laces. He completed his look with black leather shoes.
Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero
Fresh from the heels of Andrea Brillantes' viral "promposal" at BLACKPINK's "Born Pink" concert, the actress and her boyfriend Ricci Rivero graced the Star Magical Prom in outfits that easily exceeded expectations.
Andrea channeled her inner queen with a sparkling column gown that featured a fully beaded bodice, a balconette neckline, and straps made out of tassel lace. The ensemble, which the actress described as "mas glam na Bridgerton," came with a shimmery fringe skirt. Making the ensemble more regal are her white elbow-length gloves and detachable white train.
Her basketball player beau looked like a prince in his light gray tuxedo decorated with rhinestones on the left shoulder and front waist. He completed his look with a pleated button-down undershirt with a Moa collar and a rhinestone necklace that matched the accents of his suit.
Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, collectively known as DonBelle, was the grand finale of the Star Magical Prom's ivory carpet opening ceremony. The on-screen partners and rumored couple were every bit stunning in their matching black-and-white ensemble.
The actress could easily be identified as the belle of the ball with her Francis Libiran ball gown that featured a plain white bodice and layered fur skirt with black trimmings.
Complementing her contemporary gown is Donny's designer all-black suit with see-through lace inner polo. His ensemble was a masterpiece of acclaimed fashion designer Rajo Laurel.
BGYO
P-pop boy group BGYO was set to have the "Best Time" at the Star Magical Prom 2023 in their all-white 'fits. The members—Nate, Gelo, JL, Akira, and Mikki–each gave off fresh vibes in their ivory ensemble with laces as accents.
Adding a dash of fun into their look are their uniform white shoes with black chunky heels.
AC Bonifacio
AC Bonifacio stepped onto the ball's ivory carpet, along with her friends and fellow Star Magic artists Angela Ken and Sab, in a Bridgerton-inspired gown incorporated "with a Filipiniana twist."
The ensemble consists of a shimmering beaded crop top with puff sleeves and a satin skirt designed by Russel May Atelier.
Maxine Trinidad and Rob Blackburn
Maxine Trinidad and Rob Blackburn looked like they came straight out of 19th-century England in their attires that resemble the outfits of Prince Friedrich and Daphne of Bridgerton.
Rob donned a traditional royal uniform—complete with gold accents and big shoulder pads—by fashion designer Caramba Caramba. "I was always fascinated by the Royal Family, growing up in England. Gustong-gusto ko 'yung isusuot na dress medyo inspired talaga," he said at the event's ivory carpet ceremony.
Maxine, meanwhile, was dainty and regal in her sequinned skin-tone gown designed by Patricia Pascual. In true Bridgerton fashion, the former PBB housemate's couture came with puff sleeves, sweetheart necklines, and a sheer skirt. She was glammed in light makeup and an updo hairstyle by Carell Garcia.
Vivoree and Brent Manalo
Vivoree and Brent Manalo were nothing short of ethereal in their different yet complimenting formal wear at the Star Magical Prom 2023. Vivoree went for a garden-inspired gown by artist and celebrity fashion designer Ehrran Montoya. The flowy empire gown was made out of sheer and adorned with faux white and purple petals. Making the look more whimsical are the gown's cape and sleeves with ostrich feathers.
Meanwhile, Brent looked sharp and stylish in his black suit by renowned fashion designer Mark Bumgarner. The unique set consists of pants with white side lining and Brent's "favorite part," which is the cropped jacket.
Aljon Mendoza and Jayda Avanzado
Cool and dreamlike were Aljon Mendiza and Jayda Avanzado's motif for this year's Star Magical Prom. The date-mates donned formal wear that vary in colors yet beam out.
Jayda, daughter of couple singers Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado, resembled a nature goddess in her green ombre gown by Michael Leyva. The fresh ensemble features a glittery bodice with ruffles on the neckline as well as a layered pleated skirt.
Aljon matched the look of her Teen Clash co-star with an equally show-stopping piece by Black Coat Manila. The actor's three-piece suit embodied masculine chic, with its silk fabric in zenith blue.
