The actress marked her 39th birthday by sharing some photos of herself without makeup, captivating her followers with her barefaced beauty.
“Birthday ko? Barefaced birthday,” she captioned her IG carousel, thanking everyone who took the time to send her some love on her special day.
The local star turned 39 on Saturday, Feb. 17.
In case you don't know, Anne, in her caption, made reference to a running joke about her birthday. It began in 2017 on It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan portion.
In a segment, Anne, with her co-host Vice Ganda, can be seen interviewing a male OFW who was hoping to spend Christmas with his family.
The Unkabogable star used birthdays as an example as they talked about special occasions that OFWs wouldn't want to miss with their loved ones. “Alam mo, bukod sa hirap ng trabaho sa ibang bansa, ang pinakamahirap na hinaharap ng mga Pilipino doon ay yung pagka-miss nila sa pamilya nila sa Pilipinas. ‘Yung homesick, 'di ba?” Vice said.
"Lalo na during Christmas, family celebrations na you're meant to be together," Anne replied.
Vice then continued with "Birthday mo," which Anne misunderstood. "Birthday ko?" she asked.
Anne burst out laughing after realizing she just didn't get it.
"Sa palagay mo, bakit mamimiss ng OFW yung birthday mo?" Vice asked.
“Sa ating mga OFWs pasensya na po kung hindi kayo makauwi 'pag birthday ni Anne," she joked, drawing laughs from the audience.
