Kwon Eun Bi’s agency warned the public that they will continue to take legal action against sexual harassment, malicious posts, and violation of the singer’s privacy.

In a new statement on Friday, July 5, Woollim Entertainment shared an update regarding the complaint they filed in August 2023, saying that the Korean star has been suffering psychological damage due to “severe defamation of her character.”

“We previously announced that Kwon Eun Bi was suffering psychological damage due to severe defamation of character through sexual harassment, posts attacking her character, the spreading of falsehoods, and the violation of her privacy,” the statement read, as translated by K-entertainment site Soompi.

They added that they filed the first round of criminal complaints based on various posts that insulted and sexually harassed the actress through fabricated pornographic photos of her. What started the spread of such posts remains unclear.

“Accordingly, we collected many posts about the criminal acts of those who groundlessly defamed Kwon Eun Bi’s character, insulted her, sexually harassed her, spread falsehoods about her, wrote malicious posts and libel about her, or combined her portrait with other photos and spread fabricated pornographic photos of her,” they said, adding that the police is now investigating the complaints.

“These kinds of acts are clearly crimes, and we are informing you that using the proof we collect, we will continue to press criminal charges and take strong legal action with no leniency,” they stressed, pursuant to the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network.

The agency added that they will continue to protect the singer by continuously monitoring and gathering evidence spreading online. They also encouraged the fans to report any malicious posts to their official email address.

“We at Woollim Entertainment will do our utmost to protect the rights and honor of our artist,” they concluded.

Eun Bi first debuted as part of the K-pop group Ye-A in 2014. She was also a part of the group of Korean Japanese group Iz*One which was formed in the reality competition Produce 48.

She released her debut EP dubbed Open in 2021. Some of her songs include Sabotage, Underwater, and The Flash.
