Anne Curtis, the Philippines’ Multimedia Superstar, revealed she only earned P1,000 as her first salary.

TikToker Shan Rizwan, who recently made rounds with his TikTok video casually interviewing Anne Curtis, has uploaded its extended version on his official YouTube account on June 8.

In his video dubbed “Guessing Jobs in New York City,” actress-host Anne was among the seven random strangers he featured, who were asked the same questions about whether they like their job, how much money they make, and what they studied in college.

The BLK Cosmetics co-founder refused to answer how much money she makes as it is a personal question, so Shan just asked her instead how much money she earned in her first year working.

“Yeah, it was about P1,000,” Anne said. After working in the local entertainment industry for 25 years, Anne is now one of the most popular actresses in the country with her remarkable performances in TV and films.

Other than being one of the hosts of the noontime show It’s Showtime, she is best known for her roles in BuyBust, Blood Ransom, and Sid & Aya, among others.

She landed on the third spot in the 2022 list of Filipino celebrities who earned the most on Instagram, garnering $2,936,119 (over P100 million).

The viral video has over 36 million views on TikTok as of writing, flooded by Filipino netizens’ comments, saying they are amused that he casually interviewed one of the biggest stars in Philippine showbiz.

Overwhelmed with the unexpected encounter, Shan shared he did not know the actress during their interaction, which explains how he casually talks with her.

"The context on how this interaction happened was that I was pretty much just going up to strangers, trying to guess their jobs for TikTok and I literally just went up to Anne Curtis, not knowing who she was, and she was down to do an interview. And what you saw was exactly what happened," he explained.

"She was super humble for all the things that she did, just gave a super down-to-earth vibe and she easily could've just blown me off, as I get blown off a lot as a street interviewer in New York City. But she gave me a few minutes of her day and she was super authentic and genuine," he added.

Anne Curtis flew to New York City to attend the opening of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship store last April 25.
