From Heart Evangelista to Bea Alonzo: Here are some celebrities who stood out at the GMA Gala Night

Published Jul 31, 2022 6:48 pm

The GMA Gala Night saw some of the country’s brightest stars bring on the glitz and glam on Saturday, July 30.

Familiar names and fresh faces dressed to the nines in extravagant, Old Hollywood style at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La at The Fort in celebration of the local network’s 72nd anniversary. While some stunned in either black or white from head to toe, others opted for a combination of both timeless colors with some glitter elevating their overall look.

Here’s a quick glimpse of some celebrity standouts of the night.

Rhian Ramos stood out in the crowd as she wore a mix of sheer fabric and sparkling beads, which undoubtedly complemented her white cape and shiny headgear. She was named “FRONTROW Female Icon” at the event.

How stunning did Bianca Umali look in her white gown? No wonder she emerged as the winner of two awards: BEAUTEDERM Scene Stealer Award and BELO Beauty of the Night.

Heart Evangelista

This list would not be complete without Heart Evangelista, who sported an Ashi Studio creation, Bulgari jewelry, and Zanotti shoes. As expected, she was named “Glamorous Star of the Night.”

Sanya Lopez

It’s a no-brainer why Sanya Lopez took home the "Sparkle Star of the Night" award. Wearing a Michael Leyva number, the Kapuso star rocked a smokey makeup and straight hair to match her custom dress.

Max Collins

Max Collins looked like a dream in Michael Cinco. We also loved how she kept her makeup muted to put the spotlight on her sparkly gown amped up with matchy elbow-length gloves.

Coleen Garcia

Coleen Garcia opted for a custom Russel May Cordero Atelier dress, which features a v-neck tube dress and subtle glitter all the way down. She accentuated it with sheer gloves and striking jewelry.

Bea Alonzo

Channeling Old Hollywood, Bea Alonzo wore none other than a vintage-beaded Dior dress by John Galliano from 1998. “Galliano’s penchant for old movies and theater is evident in the look of the dress and honors the golden age of Hollywood,” she wrote in an Instagram post. Giving it a “classic yet contemporary spin” was a Rajo Laurel cape.

Marian Rivera

Marian Rivera looked all things grand at the affair in a Ralph & Russo dress. With her hair tied in a bun, the longtime GMA star counted on some dazzling jewelry to step up her look.

Michelle Dee

“Shine is my favorite color.” Michelle Dee absolutely put the Marc Jacobs quote on display at the GMA Gala Night in a Francis Libiran creation. Looking subtly sexy in a sparkly dress, the beauty queen rocked her signature hairstyle—short and sleek.

Megan Young

What a beaut! Megan Young decided to tie her hair up to put the focus on her Boom Sason tube dress designed with a flowy cape. Smokey makeup and dangling earrings further brought her lovely gown to the fore.
