Christmas is much merrier if celebrated with fun, soothing songs that can either make you dance, sing along, or even feel more of the cold breeze of the festive season.

And if you're planning to groove to the season with merry beats aside from Jose Mari Chan's Christmas in Our Hearts or Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You, you can always turn to your favorite K-pop artists to get you into the right vibe.

So as you start planning for your holiday playlist to enjoy at gatherings or parties, here are 8 K-pop songs that will add more cheer—or even kilig—to your heartwarming celebrations.

Christmas Love by Jimin

BTS' Jimin gave a surprise gift to his fans as he shared his self-composed song Christmas Love in 2020. The track tells how the K-pop idol loves the festive season and wishes it to last forever. It also includes feelings and words about how he looks back on past memories but looks to the future with hope and love.

The First Snow by EXO

A K-pop Christmas playlist wouldn’t be complete if there’s no EXO winter song in it. From their 2013 winter album titled Miracles in December, The First Snow gives off this dreamy memory of waiting for the chance to see the first fall of snow with a special someone. With EXO’s top-tier vocals and harmony, the song has been re-entering music charts every first snowfall of the year in South Korea.

Christmas EveL by Stray Kids

If you’re looking for something with funky hip-hop grooves, Stray Kids' Christmas EveL got you covered! Made to keep you warm in the cold weather, the song blends with twists and turns of classic and traditional holiday music that give a more exciting festive season. “Feliz Navidad” got a whole new persona with the blending of the low, bassy rapping tone. In the music video, the members act as Santa’s helpers who deliver gifts around the world.

Dear Santa by TTS

Girl’s Generation Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun will surely make your holidays extra special with their multilayered track Dear Santa. The song starts off as an R&B ballad track that gives off romantic vibes then changes to a bright carol with the jazzy sound that makes you sway ‘til the end. The vocal line of South Korea’s nation’s girl group is sure to make your spirits bright that even Santa would find it hard to say no to your request.

Lonely Christmas by Monsta X

The song might be sad in its title but Monsta X will still give you warmth while listening to it. Lonely Christmas has melancholic lyrics that convey a message that nobody deserves to feel alone during holidays. The group’s sweet and mellow vocals will definitely sway all your Christmas blues away.

Miracles in December by EXO

Another iconic ballad song from the legendary 10-year group EXO, Miracles in December is one of the top Christmas songs that fans keep on listening to during the holiday season. The heartbreaking alluring tone of the song makes you feel the emotions of losing someone important and wanting to have them again. Miracles in December has powerful vocals that kicked off EXO holiday albums bringing flavors every winter.

Merry and Happy by Twice

It’s indeed merrier to sing and dance along with Twice’s Merry and Happy, a song from their 2017 Repackage album. This mid-tempo track features the sound of bells and uplifting beats that captures the festive spirit of the holiday season. The Christmas-themed music video, where members have fun bonding around a Christmas tree, captures the happy moments you would usually have during year-end gatherings with your loved ones.

    Confession Song by GOT7

GOT7’s Confession Song will surely give you the feeling of being in love, with the sound of bells and the soothing vocals of the seven members. This song will take you to the perspective of a guy who gathers up the courage to confess and ask out the girl he likes. The song is part of MAD, the group's repackaged album for the winter season of 2015.
