Who is Christopher Quimbo—Alodia Gosiengfiao’s businessman husband?
Alodia Gosiengfiao has been making the rounds online since her grand wedding with Christopher Quimbo on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
The couple exchanged “I do’s” at the Grand Ballroom halls of Marriott Hotel in Pasay City, which looked like something out of a fairy tale as it featured dreamy details—from the awe-inspiring venue styled by none other than Gideon Hermosa to the Final Fantasy musical show by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, and beyond.
With many still talking about their magical wedding, some have been curious about the man who captivated the Queen of Cosplay’s heart and proposed to her just after four months of dating.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Christopher works as the President and General Manager of Calabria Company Limited—a private company that’s been around for decades as the maker of Novellino Wines. Since 2013, he’s been in charge of “managing all aspects of the business with a focus on business development, product development, and sales and marketing.”
Christopher previously served as a senior business analyst for department store chain Target as well as the marketing director for social networking app Toodalu.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009 and completed a wine executive program at the University of California, Davis in 2014.
With his wide background and experience in the field of business, he has earned various accolades and significant feats, including the ASEAN Business Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Philippines (2015). He was also accepted into the EO Entrepreneurs Organization in 2019, where he is part of the board, as well as the Young Presidents Organization in 2020.
When he’s not doing business, it seems that he loves engaging in thrilling activities like hiking, skiing, and biking. Just a look through his Instagram page and you’d sense his love for adventure. His Mount Apo hike, for example, took him “three days, 80,000 steps, and 17,000 calories” to finish. “I can’t feel my legs, but well worth it,” he wrote in a post.
Aside from adventure, he also seems to be someone who appreciates music. We’ve witnessed his talent in singing and playing the piano in some of the cosplayer’s posts on Facebook, where they can be seen jamming out to various songs in their free time.
Alodia and Christopher sparked dating rumors in April, when she posted a snap of them forming a heart sign during their vacation in El Nido, Palawan. They announced their engagement in July.
