Pia Wurtzbach's first book is now available for pre-order
Host, actress, entrepreneur, and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder Pia Wurtzbach is adding another title to her resume: book author.
In an Instagram post, the 33-year-old star revealed that her first book, Queen of the Universe: A Novel: Love, Truth, Beauty, is now available for pre-order. She also mentioned the name of the main character in her story.
"Here’s my book cover and I can’t wait for you to meet Cleo, the main character in my book," she captioned her photos with her latest project.
"When it comes to fame and fortune, how high a price is too high, and when do you know that you've paid too much? This debut novel by an actress and pageant titleholder gives a window on the hidden rungs of that ladder, and on the pain that comes with slipping and falling," the book's synopsis read, adding that it's "about remembering who you are in the dizzying world of fame and celebrity."
The 288-page book under Tuttle Publishing is available for pre-order via Amazon, with a paperback copy priced at $16.99 (P956) and a Kindle version priced at $12.99 (P731). You can also order it in advance locally via Fully Booked for P999 and National Bookstore for P795.
The book, which has a total of 30 chapters, is slated for a Philippine release in September and an international release in November.
Wurtzbach first mentioned that she wanted to write her own book in 2017 as she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her pageant mentor, Jonas Gaffud, who released The Crown: Your Essential Guide to Becoming a Beauty Queen in the same year. She joined ABS-CBN Books' roster of celebrity authors two years later.
