BINI's Aiah Arceta dances to 'Salamin, Salamin' with local drag queens: 'I love this community'
BINI’s Aiah just made a “core memory” after dancing Salamin, Salamin with local drag queens!
On her Instagram stories, P-pop star Aiah Arceta shared the behind-the-scenes moments when she watched a drag show on May 5 at Nectar Nightclub in Bonifacio Global City.
"Captured the exact moment where I was literally just in my fan girl moment and then they played our song all of a sudden,” she said in the caption.
In the short clip, she was recording all the drag queens onstage before they played the intro of Salamin, Salamin.
The drag artists immediately invited her to get on the stage. “Gusto ko lang naman maging audience hahaha,” she wrote.
“The plan was just to watch some drag show and support some drag queens, but they grabbed me to go dance on stage,” she added.
Aiah then described the moment as “one of [her] best nights ever.”
“Old Aiah would feel like dying if she’s being called to come up the stage out of nowhere, but because you guys were very supportive, you all helped to heal that part in me,” she added. “A core memory indeed.”
The singer-dancer also expressed her love and support for the local drag scene, saying, “I love this community. It’s filled with so much love.”
“You guys [truly] deserve all the love in this world,” she stressed.
Aiah debuted as a P-pop artist under the girl group BINI, alongside Sheena, Mikha, Maloi, Colet, Gwen, Stacey, and Jhoanna.
Some of their hit songs include Na Na Na, Karera, Lagi, and Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi.
They recently released their extended play Talaarawan with hit tracks Pantropiko and Salamin, Salamin. The group recently appeared in the Chinese survival show Show It All with another P-pop group G22.
They are set to hold their three-day first-ever solo concert dubbed BINIverse in June.
