If you're looking for a sign to get that diploma, look no further than Arlene Muhlach, who shared that she is now a bachelor’s degree holder at 55 years old.

The actress announced the good news on Instagram by posting a picture of herself decked in her graduation toga from the Philippine Women's University. She also delighted her followers with some snaps of her holding her diploma and tossing her cap on the day of the ceremony.

"I stopped my college studies in my third year many years ago when work was offered to me. Then my family came, and my priorities changed," Arlene began in her caption.

"Proving that it is never too late to fulfill a longstanding goal, I now have a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Philippine Women’s University," she continued.

The local star went on to express her gratitude to her loved ones for supporting her during her educational journey.

"I’m thankful to all my professors and blockmates (I had so many questions! Hahaha!) in the ETEEAP [Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation] program for their faith in me and my abilities. [T]hank you to my husband Warren and children Aliyah and Augusto who boosted my morale when I was ready to give up," she highlighted.

Arlene ended her post with a simple yet meaningful message: "Age is just a number, determination and passion are what truly matters."

To make her achievement even more special, Arlene's comes just a few days before her 56th birthday celebration on Sept. 4, which she appeared to have celebrated in advance as seen on her Instagram stories.

In the comments, many of her followers praised her for becoming an inspiration to never give up on your goals no matter your age.

"Congrats ma'am Arlene! It's never too late po talaga, sana ako rin matapos ko ang aking kolehiyo, ipon muna ng pera," one user commented.

Another wrote, "It's so amazing that there are lots of actors who are determined to go back to school. Congratulations Ms. Arlene."
