Maris Racal took a trip down memory lane on her journey as a Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate as she marked her 10th year in the showbiz industry.

In a heartfelt message on her Instagram broadcast channel, Maris opened up about her insecurity when she joined the fifth season of PBB, subtitled All In back in 2014.

"Ten years ago, pumasok ako sa PBB. Akala ko una ako mae-evict kasi feeling ko wala naman akong fans na boboto sa'kin (Hahaha), but I was wrong. Ang dami niyo pala!" the actress wrote.

"Sobra niyo akong pinapasaya everyday. Pinagbubutihan ko sa trabaho kasi gusto ko kayong maging proud," she added.

Maris emerged as the runner-up in the reality game show, with Daniel Matsunaga taking the big win. Some of her other housemates include Jane Oineza, Vickie Rushton, and Joshua Garcia, among others.

She has since thrived in the entertainment industry for the past decade, much to her surprise.

"Wow, 10 years na. Ang galing. Ang layo na ng narating natin and ang dami nang naabot na mga pangarap. Pagbubutihan ko pa lalo," the local star promised.

She ended her message with some amusing words to her fans, "Sa mga bago dito, Mariestellers po talaga tawag sa mga supporters ko. Pwede bang part na rin kayo dun?"

"'Wag ka na sumagot kasi wala ka namang choice. Sa'kin ka na forever." she added.

After her stint in PBB, Maris starred in a number of successful films and television shows, such as Just the Way You Are, Vince and Kath and James, The Breakup Playlist, and more. Her most recent stint is in the romantic drama series Can't Buy Me Love, where she rose to prominence as the love team partner of Anthony Jennings.

Apart from being an actress, she is also building up an exceptional music career, starting from doing acoustic guitar covers of her favorite songs to creating her own teen-friendly jams and catchy songs.
