Piolo Pascual on rumored relationship with Shaina Magdayao: 'If it's there, people are gonna see it'
Piolo Pascual opened up about his personal life in an interview with Ogie Diaz.
The Mallari actor spoke on different topics on the showbiz columnist's YouTube vlog—from his dating life, business ventures, and settling down.
Ogie got straight into the nitty gritty as he first asked Piolo if he was in a relationship. He then mentioned Shaina Magdayao, who has been rumored to be dating the actor for several years now, as she and Piolo are working on an upcoming soap titled Pamilya Sagrado.
"Meron bang ma-re-rekindle?" Ogie asked.
"Let's cross the bridge. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'm more for the work... We want to continue on his (Deo Edrinal) legacy. We wanna give it our best so I'll put aside the personal stuff first," the 47-year-old star answered.
"Okay naman kami ni Shai. We're good," he added.
Piolo continued to say that if he was in a relationship with the actress, it wouldn't be something he would hide from the public.
"Sa tanda nating 'to, what you see is what you get. I'm not trying to hide anything or do something. If it's there, if it's happening, people are gonna see it. If there's anything, people are gonna know anyway," he said.
Asked about why he hasn't settled down, the actor said: "Masarap 'yung tinatahak nating path ngayon... Maganda 'yung demand ngayon for content, nag-iiba 'yung landscape ng entertainment... I'm married to my job."
Piolo has been rumored to be dating Shaina with the actor reportedly saying they were exclusively dating for five years in 2017. In 2023, however, the Mallari star said he didn't see the point of dating at this time of his life.
Rumors of Shaina being pregnant with Piolo speculated as the father of the child also surfaced in that year but the actress later shut it down by saying she was not pregnant and that she wouldn't deny it if she was.
