Piolo Pascual says he ‘doesn’t see the point of being in a relationship’ right now—here's why
Piolo Pascual, who has been dubbed as the “ultimate heartthrob” in showbiz, has not been in a relationship for many years now—not even flings. This is because he “doesn’t see the point” of dating at this time of his life.
The actor opened up about his dating life in a recent interview with talent manager Ogie Diaz, saying that he simply does not have time for romance right now. “Wala eh, hindi talaga. I’m the kind of person na hindi makali so lumaki ako, sabi ng pastor sa akin: ‘Mahirap ‘yan ‘pag nawili ka na mag-isa ka lang. Kapag nawili ka na wala kang kasama, baka masanay ka at hindi mo hanapin’—and I think that’s what happened.”
“I’ve been single for so many years and it’s not something na, sometimes, of course, there are nights na sana may katabi ka pero I’m not the type na gusto kong may kasama. Nasanay akong ganito. Wala kang pinagrereportan, wala kang kailangang uwian.”
Papa P made it clear later on that he could still be open to finding love in the future. “Siguro, pagtanda ko nang kaunti, aabot ako dun, pero sa ngayon talaga, I don’t see it happening,” he said.
“Hindi ko siya ine-entertain and I don’t even see the point of being in a relationship because I’m busy. I’m booked until next year so I don’t have time for it. Even if I want it, wala naman akong time, saan ko siya ilalagay? ‘Yun nalang ang downside ng pagiging busy,” he explained.
Piolo said he is also open to having another child when the time comes. “Tumanda man ako, pwede pa rin akong magkaanak. It’s just that for now, this (work) is my priority and I feel na ang dami ko pang pwedeng gawin, ang dami ko pang gustong gawin na sana magawa ko before I settle down. So even if time is against me, I know na darating at darating yun if it’s for me.”
The local star has a son named Iñigo with Donna Lazaro. He got linked to Shaina Magdayao and KC Concepcion, among other showbiz personalities in the past.
