'Forever sounds good': Zanjoe Marudo, Ria Atayde are engaged

Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde are getting married!

The actress announced her engagement to Zanjoe on Instagram on Tuesday, Feb. 20. "Forever sounds good," she wrote in the caption.

"And tastes even better," Zanjoe replied in the comments section of her post.

Zanjoe, for his part, shared a photo of them on his Instagram stories with Ria showing her ring. "Hi fiance," he wrote.

The couple's friends in showbiz congratulated them on their engagement in the same thread.

"Ily both! Congrats and best wishes, Z and Riri!" Janine Gutierrez wrote.

"Ayaaaaan na," Angelica Panganiban commented.

"OMG!!!!! My heartfelt congratulations go out to the both of you. God bless you," added Gary Valenciano.

Zanjoe confirmed his relationship with Ria in January last year. 

They first sparked dating speculations in August 2022 after being spotted dining with some friends in New York. The rumors were further fueled when they were seen spending time together in other social media posts by their close friends in the industry, including Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, and Joshua Garcia. Ria's mother Sylvia Sanchez also confirmed their romance in October of the same year.
