Pia Wurtzbach bagged another win, but this time it was a trophy!

She was hailed as the “Global Fashion Influencer of the Year” at the 2024 EMIGALA Fashion and Beauty Awards in Dubai.

The actress and Miss Universe 2015 titleholder attended the award show wearing a dazzling long black dress created by renowned Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer, Michael Cinco.

In a series of Instagram stories, the designer shared snippets of Pia’s moments during the award show and clips of her acceptance speech.

In her speech, Pia highlighted the significance of creating an impact, having a purpose, and giving back to people.

At the beginning of her speech, she described receiving an award at the EMIGALA as reaching for the stars. She described Dubai as a place where dreams do come true.

“Even though it is amazing to be glammed up, to be in the industry of beauty and fashion, but what I wanna remind other people and the people who looked up to me is that to put purpose in the things that you do,” she said.

“It is great to be here to be receiving an award, but it is also great to have an impact and to have a purpose. So, find your passion and find the advocacy that you really care about because this platform that we all have is truly powerful and sometimes we take that for granted,” she continued.

Pia concluded her speech by reminding everybody that it is also nice to give back and it also reminded her that the work continues.

The EMIGALA has recognized Arab and International talents and personalities in the sphere of beauty and fashion for over four years now.

Prior to this award, Pia also received the Woman of the Year award in Dubai from luxury travel magazine Xpedition back in 2020.

The Pinay beauty queen moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates after her intimate wedding with business Jeremy Jauncey in March last year.
