BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently in talks to join the cast of the film adaptation of the web novel Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, which is reportedly set to start filming in December.

South Korean outlet SPOTV News reported on Tuesday, Oct. 24 that the K-pop star has received an offer to play Lee Ji-hye in the film adaptation with K-drama stars Ahn Hyo Seop who will play Kim Dok-ja and Lee Min Ho who will portray Yoo Jung-hyuk.

"Jisoo has received an offer to appear in An Omniscient Reader's [Viewpoint] and is considering it,” YG Entertainment said in a statement.

Also reportedly included in the cast are Nana from Netflix’s Mask Girl, Chae Soo-bin from I’m Not a Robot, Jeong Seong-il from The Glory, and Shin Seung-ho from Weak Hero 1.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is based on the popular web novel of the same name, which follows Kim Dok-ja's journey to survival after his reality becomes the same as the novel he had been reading. The movie adaptation will reportedly be directed by Kim Byung-woo, who worked on hit films including Take Point and The Terror Live with Realize Pictures as its producer.

Jisoo had her acting debut in the TV series Snowdrop with Jung Hae-in.
