Kathryn Bernardo was recognized at a film festival in the United States.

The Box Office Queen received the Snow Leopard Rising Star Award at the 10th Asian World Film Festival held at the Culver Theater in Culver City, California.

As Kathryn received the award from Vietnamese actress Kieu Chinn, a montage of her films and TV shows played on screen.

Kathryn, who stars in the box office hit Hello, Love Again, reflected on her 22-year career during her acceptance speech.

“It feels so surreal to be standing here tonight receiving this award. Thank you so much to the Asian World Film Festival board of directors for this incredible honor, not only for recognizing my body of work but for celebrating all the stories that we as Asian artists continue to share for the world,” the actress said.

“I started at the age of 6 and over the years I’ve been fortunate to bring a variety of characters to life. Each one gave me something new not just as an actor but as a person. 22 years later, I am still here pursuing my first love and my passion which is acting. Yes, I know it’s a tough job but moments like tonight make it all worth it," she added, saying it is an honor to be representing her fellow Filipinos and her home network ABS-CBN.

"May we all continue to tell stories that will touch people's lives," she ended.

Kathryn and Alden Richards are continuing their North American tour for Hello, Love, Again, which is being shown in approximately 250 theaters across the continent.

The film concluded the Asian World Film Festival on Wednesday evening.

AWFF's goal is to bring the best of Asian movies to LA to help Asian filmmakers get more recognition and connect with Hollywood, with over 50 films from over 50 countries across Asia.

Among the titles part of the festival are South Korea's A Normal Family, Hong Kong's In the Mood For Love, India's Lost Ladies, Malaysia's Abang Adik, and more.
