For the first time, Bella Poarch has publicly opened up about her divorce following a secret marriage of four years to a man she met when she was 19.

The Filipino-American social media personality talked about the details of her controversial relationship during the Oct. 11 episode of Alexandra Cooper's podcast, Call Her Daddy.

Bella started opening up by recalling how she first met the guy whom she refused to identify throughout the podcast.

The influencer said, "When I met him, we were both 19 and we were both very introverted. And as soon as we saw each other, we kinda fell in love. It was love at first sight, it was funny."

"He didn't say a word, I didn't say I word 'cause I was introverted," Bella continued. "And then we started seeing each other at the gym, and that's when we started talking. He definitely helped me through the dark times."

Bella described her ex-husband as "very respectable'" and that their relationship at that time was "very wholesome and cute." She added, "We did a lot of our firsts together."

Young and in love as they were, Bella's ex-husband proposed to her on a beach in Guam months after they started dating.

"At that time, he didn't have money to buy an engagement ring, so he got me a necklace. It was a simple diamond necklace," Bella recalled. Their engagement lasted for two years.

She later revealed that their marriage was indeed done in secret with no guests as the introverts did not want to say their vows in front of their families.

Asked if she wanted to get engaged then, Bella answered, "Yeah. I thought we were actually gonna be together forever."

She went on to recall how his ex-husband has a tattoo on his chest that says, "Together always forever," then started tearing up as she revealed that the reason for heir separation was her fame.

"Everything happened so fast, there was TikTok, And he didn't want to be in the spotlight, and I wanna respect that," she said between tears.

“It’s hard when I wanna pursue music. Like, I wanna be an artist, I wanna share music, and I wanna make content,” she said.

She also addressed the cheating rumors leading to the separation, saying that the divorce was a mutual decision between them. “We’re divorced but we’re in good terms. It was a mutual decision,” she stated.

The divorce shocked the internet in November 2022 since Bella never revealed that she got married since her rise to stardom.

A week after the story blew up, Bella took to Twitter to confirm the rumors and announce that she was taking a temporary break from social media.

"I'm sorry if everyone thinks I've been keeping a secret. I will address my divorce when I am ready to speak about it. In the meantime, please respect mine and Tyler's privacy," her statement read.

Bella is a TikToker and a singer with over 93 million followers on the video streaming app. She has been listed among Forbes' Top Creators for 2023, with estimated earnings of $3.3 million (P189 million).
