Korean singer Younha announces marriage: 'I have met a steadfast partner in life'
South Korean singer-songwriter Younha is getting married.
Soompi reported that through her fan cafe, Younha on March 5 shared a handwritten letter to her supporters called "HOLICS" about her personal life.
"Hello, this is Younha. I picked up my pen to write this because there is something I wanted to personally share with HOLICS," the letter read.
"I have met a steadfast partner in life and will be getting married. Thank you for always sincerely caring about my well-being and for your unwavering love and support."
Younha didn't publicly name her fiancé.
The 36-year-old said through that "warm love," she was able to overcome the wandering and struggles of her youthful days."
"I am deeply grateful," she said.
Describing herself as "stronger and more grounded," Younha said she will continue to support and encourage the lives of HOLICS.
She also asked for their support as she "[steps] into this new chapter."
"I promise to continue being your devoted 'partner singer' in the future!" she said.
Younha began her career in 2004 in Japan with the moniker "Oricon Comet." She made her debut in South Korea in 2006.
The Korean star is known for the songs Winter Flower (with BTS member RM), Event Horizon, Walking in the Rain, I Believe, and Umbrella.
