Ai-Ai Delas Alas finished strong in her HYROX solo race at 61!

On Instagram, the actress-comedian gave her followers a glimpse into her HYROX journey in Rome, where she took on the challenge of competing solo.

\"I am almost 62. I challenged myself to race HYROX Solo. The cramps in both my legs, from top to bottom, were so painful that I wanted to quit. But I reminded myself why I started and fought until the very end," she wrote.

In the compiled video, she documented several moments from the race, including when she experienced painful cramps and how people around cheered her on as she pushed through.

She also shared what it took to complete the race.

"It took me almost 3 hours, but I survived, I finished, and I proved to myself that age is just a number when your heart refuses to give up," she emphasized.

For her, the experience was about more than simply completing the race.

"This race was never about the time. It was about courage, resilience, and the strength to keep going when everything tells you to stop," she added. She also took a moment to thank her coach and everyone who supported her throughout the race.

"Namalengke ako and nag-grocery pero inilaban. At least finisher pa din hehe na solo pwede naman. Kahit nasusuka na ko, laban lang. Thank you Lord and Mama Mary, you helped me to finish this. And to HYROX Rome, thank you so much for your support and cheers and respect. I love you, Roma," she concluded.

Her followers and celebrity friends, including Aubrey Miles, David Licauco, and Carla Abellana, celebrated her success in the post's comments section.

"Congratulations Ai," Wendell Ramos commented.

"Grabe Mamaaaaa!!!" Shaina Magdayao also commented.

Before taking on her solo challenge in Rome, AiAi had already tested herself in the Hyrox Hong Kong competition in May. She joined the Women’s Doubles category alongside Joy Santeco-de Guzman.

Hyrox is a fitness event designed around a mix of endurance and strength. This fitness race combines running and functional workouts, with participants (solo or in pairs) completing eight rounds of a 1-km run followed by a workout station.
