Michelle Dee marks a year as Miss Universe Philippines: 'This has been an incredible year'
Michelle Dee commemorated her reign as Miss Universe Philippines with a celebratory post, featuring her crowning moment.
A year after being crowned, the beauty queen expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported and stood by her throughout the journey.
“This has been an incredible year for the books and one heck of a ride all together,” she wrote in her caption, before emphasizing that she “really couldn’t have done this” without the unwavering support and hard work of the people around her.
She added, “This journey has been ours, a true representation of our resilience and a celebration who we’re proud to be. All love.”
Michelle was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 on May 13 last year at the coronation night where she represented Makati City and advocated for autism awareness. She represented the country at the international competition in El Salvador, placed as a top 10 finalist, and won several special awards.
Before that, the seasoned pageant queen had already competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2022, where she was named Miss Universe Philippines Tourism. She was also crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and finished in the top 12 of the global competition.
Michelle is set to crown her successor at the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant on Wednesday, May 22.
