'RuPaul's Drag Race' star Plastique Tiara is now engaged
RuPaul's Drag Race alum Plastique Tiara is now engaged to her boyfriend of three years!
The Vietnamese-American drag queen shared her romantic engagement photos on Instagram on March 31.
“Baby boy, this is serious,” he wrote in the caption.
Photos showed Plastique embracing her now-fiancé as she wore an emerald cut diamond ring. Another picture featured the proposal happening in a field surrounded by rose petals.
Plastique first announced their engagement in an episode of the YouTube show RuPaul’s Drag Race: The Pit Stop on March 30, in which she shared her excitement with fellow drag queen Monét X Change.
“He is the light of my life, and yeah, I’m just so happy, so excited,” she said in the interview.
“I wanted it to be big enough so I can wear it in drag,” she added, describing the diamond ring as a “drag ring."
“It’s been three years, and I’m happily engaged and together,” she followed.
Several drag artists celebrated Plastique's engagement in the comments section of her Instagram post.
"I am beyond happy for the both of you beautiful humans. Cheers to a lifetime full of happiness and love," wrote RuPaul's Drag Race Global All Stars winner Alyssa Edwards.
"Congratulations love!! Such a beautiful pair! You deserve everything sister!" added Drag Race Philippines season 1 star Eva Le Queen, who also made a Sabrina Carpenter reference in her comment. "Dream'ed come true it for us!"
"Omg," said Pinoy photographer BJ Pascual who also left several heart eyes emojis.
Plastique rose to fame on the 11th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she placed eighth, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 9, where she finished fourth. She became a fan favorite, amassing nearly 4 million followers on Instagram and 12 million followers on TikTok.
