Dr. Julius Leaño, Jr.

Dr. Julius L. Leaño Jr. is chief of research and development of the Philippine Textile Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology. He started as a researcher in 2002, and is a program and project leader of several PTRI and Grant In-Aid Programs on natural dyes and smart and nonwoven textiles. He holds a BS and MS Chemistry degree from UP Diliman and a PhD in Chemistry (Nanoscience and Technology) from National Taiwan University.
