Microsoft to launch Xbox Series X in November

Microsoft has officially confirmed that its next generation Xbox Series X console will be launching globally this November. Although the tech company remains mum on the specific release date and pricing of its eagerly-awaited console.

After narrowing down the release window of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft and 343 Industries revealed that the launch of Halo Infinite will be delayed to 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic. Microsoft’s initial plan was to release its next-gen console together with Halo Infinite later this year.

In a blog post, 343 Industries said that they have made the difficult decision to shift the release date of Halo Infinite in order to ensure that their team “has adequate time to deliver a Halo game experience that meets our vision.”

“The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts affecting us all this year,” the statement reads.

The studio said delaying the game’s release date will enable them to finish the necessary work to deliver “the most ambitious Halo game ever” that their fans expect.

Although the arrival of Halo Infinite won’t be happening this year, Microsoft assured fans that there will be thousands of games “spanning four generations” that will be available when the Xbox Series X launches this November.
