Sharon Cuneta asks the public not to make her children turn against each other: 'Please, tama na'
Sharon Cuneta asked the public not to make her kids fight as she noted she had the approval of her husband, former senator Kiko Pangilinan and their children before holding a reunion concert with her ex, Gabby Concepcion.
In an Instagram post on Nov. 6, the Megastar shared photos of her, Kiko, Miel, and Miguel, who recently celebrated his 14th birthday. Her daughter with Gabby, KC Concepcion, and her eldest daughter with Kiko, Kakie, were absent.
“Never ko sana nagawa ang shows namin ni Gabby without my husband and kids’ approval,” she said. “They were the first to congratulate me after [the SM Mall of Asia show]! Malawak kasi isip ng pamilya namin sorry naman!”
Sharon said she has accepted that her body would be split for the rest of her life because she has two families.
“Pero ako ang nahihiya sa mga anak ko kasi nadadamay sila just because I am their mommy,” she said. “[I]t hurts me.”
She asked the public not to make her children turn against each other, noting that they’re not roosters in cockfights.
“From now on, to avoid risking all four of my children’s feelings being targeted by trolls, even on their birthdays,” she said, “I will give them all my loving messages not on social media na but in personal notes na lang.”
“To those who find pleasure in hurting the feelings of my family members, please, tama na,” she added. “Nananahimik kaming lahat and they don’t deserve any negativity. Thank you.”
Gabby and Sharon tied the knot in 1984. They welcomed KC a year later but got legally separated in 1987. Their marriage was annulled in 1993.
Sharon met Kiko at her brother’s wedding in 1994. They went on a series of dates together and got married in 1996.
Gabby, meanwhile, is now with actress Genevieve Gonzales.
Last October, Gabby and Sharon reunited for Dear Heart, a show that celebrated their first appearance together in the movie of the same title, as well as their love story.
