Tom Cruise's daughter Suri legally drops dad's surname
It seems that Tom Cruise's daughter Suri has severed ties with her actor father after she dropped his surname.
In voter registration records obtained by PEOPLE, the 20-year-old is shown with the surname Noelle instead of Cruise since October 2024. Noelle is her mother Katie Holmes' middle name.
Pennsylvania courts confirmed to Page Six that an individual has to use their legal name in order to vote, implying a legal name change.
The outlet also reported that the name change might have been done in New York, as Suri was born in Los Angeles, despite living in the Keystone State since 2024.
Suri went by Suri Noelle during her high school graduation in June 2024. She is now studying as a junior at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Cruise and Holmes welcomed their only daughter Suri in April 2006 after marrying in November of that year. The celebrity couple divorced in 2012.
Suri has been estranged from her father since she was seven years old, according to TMZ.
Representatives of Cruise and Holmes have not yet commented on the development.
