Park Bo Gum added another qualification to his resume after passing South Korea's national hairdressing certification exam on his second attempt.

The actor recently obtained the national technical qualification for general hairdressing, according to tvN, as reported by The Korea Times.

His journey to becoming a licensed hairdresser was featured in the first season of the variety show The Village Barber. Despite practicing hairdressing techniques, including perms, he failed the practical portion of the certification exam on his first try.

He continued preparing for the test while balancing his acting projects and preparations for the show's second installment.

Per reports, the national hairdressing certification exam has an average pass rate of 20 to 30%.

He previously earned a national barbering qualification while completing his mandatory military service in the South Korean Navy.

Park is set to return for the second season of The Village Barber, also known as Bogum's Magical 2, which follows him and his celebrity friends as they operate a hair salon in a seaside village. Lee Sang-yi returns from the first season, while actor Ko Kyung-pyo joins the cast as a new member.

With his new qualification, Park is expected to offer a wider range of hair services at the salon, including perms, which he could not perform during the previous season.

The Village Barber 2 is scheduled to premiere on tvN on Nov. 29.

Park Bo Gum is a South Korean actor best known for his roles in television dramas such as Reply 1988, Love in the Moonlight, and Record of Youth. He also starred in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines alongside IU and recently headlined the drama Good Boy.
