Here's how to register with Pag-IBIG as a first-timer
Just secured your first job? You’re probably busy completing your pre-onboarding requirements.
As a first-timer, fulfilling the requirements and doing all these adulthings can be overwhelming. Fortunately, almost all government transactions can now be done online, so you don't have to travel and line up.
One of the mandatory documents you must secure is your Pag-IBIG (Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno) membership, which helps Filipino workers save through a nationwide program and offers affordable housing loans for members.
To register, go to their website and click Virtual Pag-IBIG. Select "Be A Member" then click "Register."
You can enter your personal information with your National ID, if you don't have it yet, manually input your details such as your name, middle name, last name, and your birth date. Keep in mind that the entered personal details must exactly match your Birth Certificate.
Complete the required details in your online membership registration, and click "Submit." After submission, be sure to save your Registration Tracking Number so you can check your permanent Membership ID within two to three working days.
After the waiting period, go to Virtual Pag-IBIG, then select "Verify MID Number." Enter your details, including your RTN, last name, and date of birth, then click "Submit."
