Greek beauty brand Korres opens its first store in the Philippines

Greek skincare brand Korres has opened its first flagship boutique in the Philippines.

The clean beauty brand, which was founded in 1996 by a pharmacist named Giorgos Korres and a chemical engineer named Lena Korres, is inspired by their "homeland, nature, apothecary heritage, science, and aesthetics"—all of which have been materialized throughout the store.

Located in Power Plant Mall in Makati City, the store's interior resembles a pharmacy, featuring Greecian white, wood, and metallic elements. Its look is based on the design of Greek architect Manos Babounis.

Upon entering, guests are introduced to the Korres Full Circle story—"a beautiful journey from seed to skin and back"—which is divided in six distinctive labs: Soil Lab, Extraction Lab, Molecular Lab, Formulation Lab, Design Lab, Recycle Lab.

Beauty lovers will be able to browse, try, and purchase the complete lineup of Korres products in the store, including their best-selling Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream, Black Pine Pump Up Sleeping Facial, and Pomegranate Pore Blurring Gel Moisturizer.

Interior

True to its Greek roots, the products are displayed on white wooden carved shelves, an "iconic aesthetic of the Aegean," with industrial metallic shelves against a wall covered with modern tiles. They are divided by category: Body Care, Hair Care, Fragrance and Skincare.

And, as an homage to the Aegean Sea, the store features a glowing blue light in the store's signage.
