Leaders and familiar faces gathered at President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s third State of the Nation Address held at the Batasang Pambasa on Monday, July 22.

Apart from Marcos Jr.’s report on the country’s progress and issues, the affair also paved the way for showcasing the reimagined Filipinianas and barong specially made by both local and renowned designers.

From traditional baro’t saya to classic barongs, here are some of the ensembles that graced the Batasang Pambansa red carpet for this year’s SONA.

Another standout is Marga Nograles’ royal blue terno by Puey Quinones. Its butterfly sleeves and skirt hems are designed with round shapes, which appear to resemble a shell.
